Q: Can I take a parental leave of absence and still be on the GSSP?

A: A new NCSU regulation on parental leave for graduate students has been approved that now makes it possible for “…all full-time, matriculated graduate students anticipating the birth or care of a newborn or placement or care of an adopted or foster child….”  to apply for relief from academic responsibilities for a period of up to six (6) weeks.  The full regulation is available at  http://policies.ncsu.edu/regulation/reg-02-15-08   (Posted 2012)
